HAPPY TEACHERS DAY

This poem is dedicated to my favourite teachers from SJKT Ladang Glendale, Bahau, (1972-1977) : Mr Thandavarayan (My science teacher in standard 4 to 6, Mr Ramasamy (History teacher standard 5 and 6), Mr Rajagopal (Maths teacher std 3 to 6), Great Teachers from SMK Dato' Mansor (1978-1983), Bahau : Mr Amran (Sains pertanian Form two and three), Mr Pancalingam (maths teacher form 1 to three) , Mr Soh Chin Hock (Chemistry teacher Form four and five), Puan Khoo Boon Nam (Maths teacher , form four and five) Mr K.R.M. Shanmugam (English teacher Form Four and five). Prof Mohamed Arif (Economics faculty, UM) Mr Sukumaran and Prof Quek (Education Faculty UM) 

and all my fellow friends 

who has tirelessly educating and nurturing young minds over the years.

for being my life’s role model.
When I consider all you've taught me
and reflect on the kind of person you are,

I want to be like you—
smart, interesting and engaging,
positive, confident, yet unpretentious.

well-informed and easy to understand,
thinking with your heart as well as your head,
gently nudging us to do our best,
with sensitivity and insight.

giving your time, energy and talent
